4th of July

Started the day like any other except I apparently head to make it memorable by getting a flat tire on the way to the grocery store. Lucky Matt was to the rescue (as it was his car) and the tire was still under warranty. Yay! Other than that fun excitement, spent the day with family, minus Tina, at the Lucien's house. Jack got to run in their huge back yard with horses on the back fence. Had a nice potluck feast, watched a lot of movies, and over all was a lazy day.
When the sun went down we set off the fireworks we had and got to watch others from the distance (like cal expo, and other event displays as well). It was overall a good and lazy independence day.

It's been a while...

Since I posted last. So I figured that I'd post something now, to give a bit of an update as to what has been happening.
1) I've been official divorced since the end of march. Everything has been going well so far, I'm still in my place that I have and have Jack to help me keep my mind off of most thing all day.
2) Been working a lot, so not much has really been happening.
3) Jack has become a lot calmer now, it's been nice when I go out or am relaxing at home. But he still has as much energy as always when he wants to play.
4)Now I've been contemplating what I want to do as a career. I would like to do something with my culinary degree but not sure what. I do know that I do not want to be in a kitchen on an hourly wage (just doesn't seem appealing), but I do know that I want to go back to school. Lately I've been thinking about Organic Chem, Nutrition, and Biology that was I can really get into the Nutrition field and maybe become a Dietitian later in life.

I know that I have a lot to do and the time to do it, but I am slowly becoming inpatient about it all and want to be in a career faster than is possible (like tomorrow, lol). Sadly I do still have to take my time and weight my options as so possible paths to get to an end goal.
All-in-all everything is going well, I have decided to focus my energy more on finding a career that I will love to do the rest of my life and on Jack. I will try to be more active in posting something every month, but only if there is something to post about. :)

Coming to a blog near you...

Jack being comfy in his backyard. Me trying on clothes. (lol).

Long reel of events have happened. Start it all off, Jordon and I are getting a divorce. Yep, I said it. He has already started the filling. Now I know the question on everyone's mind is who is going to keep Jack. Well that would be me! So I know that is not really going through your head, and yes I'm doing well, all things considered. I think I'm taking it better than I thought I would be because we haven't been doing well since after the first year, and it was being all more apparent when I came back to the States. All I know is that I have a wonderful family who is AWESOME and very supportive of me. All I need now is a paying roommate so I can afford to stay in my new digs for a couple year.

This leads me into another new thing I'm going to do. Go back to school. I've thought about it a lot and I'm now leaning towards going back to school to either be a nutritionist or an astronomer. I love both fields but I think I'm leaning more towards the astronomy. It was my original goal in high school and I don't mind looking at random stuff in the sky for a living.

New...

Post with Pictures!

As everyone now knows I'm back in Sacramento. Jordon is still in S. Korea till Thanksgiving time and he will be home a week with me and Jack and then he is off to school again to go into Paralegal, the schooling last 10 weeks. After that it's a another adventure for the McAllister family.

A few things that have happened. My brother Matt is now out of the Navy, he is also out here in Sac for the next month and a half. We also started the beginning of going to weddings, the 17th of this month we went to Jason Walsh's wedding , Matt's best friend since Kindergarten and one of my "brothers" as i call them, it was a beautiful ceremony and a lovely reception. I've very happy for the newlyweds and i hope they are having a great time on their honeymoon.
I have also found and moved into a duplex that is about 6 minutes away from my parents. It's a 3 bedroom, 1 bath with a gated backyard and a carport. It's big enough for Jack to be able to run around and be his spazzy self and still small enough for me.
I will say that the best part about it is that i don't have to water or mow the front lawn (the have guys to do it for me.) I also have a security patrol that goes around too.

This is the front of the house with the carport.

This is the living room

I'm still acquiring some furniture, I've been lucky in that a few people i know where giving away furniture and that i was able to get a bed at a really good price. Overall it's been very busy and I know Jordon has been keeping busy at work and going around S. Korea to as many places as he can to see more things. Jordon has also been put in to receive a sorta promotion, he is going to become a Corporal (it's still the same level E-4 but with more power to do things.) I'm very proud of him and all that he has been doing. Keep it up my love!

Today, marks mine and Jordon's 2nd anniversary of being married. Two years ago today we got married in a court house in San Antonio, Texas. It was a very small and cute ceremony and our friend being silly as he is recorded it all.

Jordon proposing, yes i was shocked. (even though i knew it was coming)
Day we got married.
Happy Anniversary Jordon!

On the go blogging

Got an iPod Touch and Tina found an app to blog. Hmmm, maybe this means I'll blog more often.
Other than that Jordon's birthday was on the 27th. He went bowling yesterday and is going on a trip this weekend. I love my husband and I'm glad he is having a good time.

And on we go...

Home that is. We have known for a bit but it's been official that i get to come back to the California in the mid to end of February. I'm very excited and also very sad because that means it's just going to be me and Jack, and Jordon is going to have to stay out here by himself till October. :(
On the plus side, when i do come back i have a job waiting for me and that means that we can get a car for us, because we do not have one. (Matt bought mine and Jordon's got totaled in an accident in 2008.) The other plus side to it all is that i can now see all of my family again. Jordon and I will be hopefully be flying by the 20th of Feb, with Jack. Pray that everything goes smooth for me coming back with Jack, i know we are working hard and praying hard here. Love you all.

The Good, the bad,...

the ugly.

We found out at the beginning of the year that our landlord is not willing to extend out lease till we move. Our first thought is this really sucks but we kind of knew it was going to happen. Much to our dismay, we find out that if we move it will be out of our pocket and that to go though clearing we have to be completely moved out of our place before housing will let us move into a new one, which means that we would have to stay at a hotel or friends house (staying at the hotel means having jack in the kennel till we move). After looking at a few places, the Realtor we where talking to says that no one is willing to do a 6 month lease, another bummer. We think about it and decide that if we can stay where we are at and pay the extra out of pocket for rent it would be easier. We have out realtor tell the landlord and she say ok, but now she is having second thoughts about it all and is giving us hell. *sigh*

On the positive side, Jack is now a 1 year old dog as of the 7th of January. To celebrate he got to go get groomed :) i think i wanted that more than him hehe.
